SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONES

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has approved 21 special economic zones (SEZs) across the country, with total investment capital in excess of $1 billion.

Seven of these have occupants – Sihanoukville SEZ, Phnom Penh SEZ, Manhattan SEZ, Tai Seng Bavet SEZ, Poipet SEZ, Goldfame Pak Shun SEZ, and Koh Kong SEZ. Sihanoukville port is developed.

CDC is a one-stop service for FDI and makes all of the relevant decisions for investment projects valued between $2 million and $50 million. Its one-stop meetings are chaired by H.E Sun Chanthol, Minister of Commerce. Projects with a capital investment over $50 million are referred to the Cabinet for final approval.
